ARTIST EXHIBIT OPPORTUNITIES

LAA/Sound View Member's Gallery at the Plantation Club – open year round and open to all members. This venue is located in the hallway adjacent to the pro shop at the Plantation Club and is open to all LAA 2D artists.  Intake takes place on the first Wednesday of the month from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and no reservations are necessary. Submissions are restricted to one piece no larger than 30 x 30 inches framed; however, oversized pieces, no larger than 36 x 36 inches framed, are accepted each month by reservation on a first-come, first-served basis.  Oversized reservations can be made by contacting the Gallery Chair.

A 1st Place and Honorable Mention ribbon will be awarded to two submissions each month and the artists will be recognized in our local publications. The 1st Place winner will also receive a cash award from the LAA and Sound View Wealth Advisors.

LAA/Merrill Lynch Atrium Gallery – exhibit open to general public Monday through Friday 9-4 pm. Members allowed two art pieces any size on a first-come, first-served basis. Intake: every three months open to all members. Choice Award given each quarter and chosen by Merrill Lynch staff and clients.

LAA Spring Art Show – occurring in April, all members may participate in this judged, prize winning show which requires a registration fee.

The Merrill Lynch Fall Festival – occurring in October, all members may participate for a nominal registration fee.

The LAA/Sound View Kringle Holiday Market – this first-come, first-served marketplace requires a reservation and occurs at the beginning of December. All member artists are allowed to show and sell as many of their art pieces as they wish in the space that is provided them.

Artist of the Month at the Plantation Club – changed monthly throughout the year. By application only based on volunteer requirements.

Volunteerism

While not a requirement for membership in the LAA, it is encouraged that all members be active in building a successful and growing association.

Many display opportunities are based on volunteerism. Contact the individual gallery chairs for the requirements.

Opportunities for volunteering exist for all ability levels.
