LAA/Sound View Member's Gallery at the Palmetto Club – open year round and open to all members. This venue is located in the hallway adjacent to the pro shop at the Palmetto Club and is open to all LAA 2D artists. Intake takes place on the first Wednesday of the month from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and no reservations are necessary. Submissions are restricted to one piece no larger than 30 x 30 inches framed; however, oversized pieces, no larger than 36 x 36 inches framed, are accepted each month by reservation on a first-come, first-served basis.  Oversized reservations can be made by contacting the Gallery Chair.

A 1st Place ribbon will be awarded to one submission each month and the artist will be recognized in our local publications. The New LAA/THRIVE Themed Gallery

We’re calling this a Themed Gallery because it will highlight art based on local Georgia scenes such as water, wildlife, history, business, and architecture. Intake is 9-11AM (dates below). *All art will remain on display for a three-month period until the next quarterly intake. Every quarter Thrive will host an Opening Night Reception with an early reveal for LAA members from 5-6 pm and open to Thrive residents and the general public from 6-7pm. Intake/Opening Reception 2021-22 Dates: January 5; April 6; July 6.

LAA/Merrill Atrium Gallery – exhibit open to general public Monday through Friday 9-4 pm. Members allowed two art pieces any size on a first-come, first-served basis. Intake: every three months, open to all members.

LAA Spring Art Show – occurring in April, all members may participate in this judged, prize winning show which requires a registration fee. 

The LAA/Sound View Kringle Holiday Market – this first-come, first-served marketplace requires a reservation and occurs at the beginning of December. All member artists are allowed to show and sell as many of their art pieces as they wish in the space that is provided them.

LAA/Sound View Virtual Gallery on Facebook - open to all members. Themes change monthly and a cash prize is awarded to the monthly 1st place winner. While not a requirement for membership in the LAA, it is encouraged that all members be active in building a successful and growing association.

Many display opportunities are based on volunteerism. Contact the individual gallery chairs for the requirements.

Opportunities for volunteering exist for all ability levels.
